MITIS SA and ETAGE are pleased to announce the signing of a Letter of Intent (LOI), which outlines their intent to explore a potential collaboration regarding the manufacturing and commercialization of the MITIS micro-10 micro gas turbine in Brazil. The LOI establishes the foundation for discussions between the two companies, with the goal of formalizing an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) technology transfer agreement for the production and marketing of the micro-10 product.

Although the LOI does not constitute a final agreement, it marks a critical step toward a strategic partnership. The collaboration will focus on advancing the deployment of micro-10 technology in Brazil, where it is expected to play a pivotal role in driving the country's energy transition. The micro gas turbine is poised for a range of applications, including biogas conversion for power and heat generation, provision of secure power supply for commercial and residential buildings, and industrial off-gas combustion for combined heat and power (CHP) production.

The micro-10 incorporates MITIS’s proprietary flameless combustion technology and high-efficiency turbomachinery, enabling it to operate on a diverse array of fuels—fossil, neutral, or carbon-free—while achieving exceptionally low NOx emissions. The turbine’s compact rotor, supported by advanced aerodynamic airfoil bearings, allows for high rotational speeds of up to 100,000 RPM without the need for oil lubrication. This innovative design not only enhances performance but also extends maintenance intervals and reduces the total cost of ownership (TCO).

By signing the LOI, both MITIS and ETAGE signal their commitment to entering into formal negotiations for a technology transfer agreement, under which the two companies will jointly develop, manufacture, and commercialize the micro-10 turbine. This collaboration aims to deliver advanced, sustainable energy solutions to the Brazilian market, addressing key challenges in energy efficiency and emissions reduction.
